Safe Sanctuary training and Background checks
In order to comply with requirements of NAEYC, St. Peter’s UMC, and state licensing, the ECDC will be maintaining a high level of vetting for volunteers for the 2023-2024 school year. Through the administration of Safe Sanctuary training and background checks on all volunteers volunteering more than once and preferably all volunteers, we can help ensure the safety of our students.
For your convenience, we have scheduled a training and chance to approve a background check at Parent Orientation Day. Some examples of volunteering include (but are not limited to) Library on Wheels, Class Parties, or STEAM train. If you have any questions regarding what constitutes a volunteer opportunity or about this process, please don’t hesitate to contact Council Chair Heidi at [email protected].
